A few years ago I was invited to screen one of my films on a faith-based cruise. While I was excited about the opportunity, I was a bit skeptical that there would be an audience for it. Why would anyone want to watch a movie, while on a luxury cruise vacation?
Thankfully, I couldn’t have been more wrong.
Films were screened to standing-room-only audiences and were followed with enlightening Q&A sessions and meet ‘n greet opportunities. When I was invited back the next year, I was more than willing. The positive experience became the spark for the Faith at Sea Film & Story Festival.
For our inaugural festival, we’re teaming up with Go and Do Events for a 6-night 7-day cruise that will screen features, documentaries and short films, all while cruising to beautiful locations on a luxury cruise ship. For filmmakers, it is an opportunity to show their films to a receptive audience in a world-class setting. For cruise vacationers, it is an event that is the perfect on-board activity to keep your days at sea full of new experiences.
